We finish our Advent and Christmas series called “Christmas Feelings.” In it, we have been looking at the familiar feelings that Christmas brings. Our final message is called “Gift of Christmas.” We reflect on how we carry the miracle of Christmas with us as a gift to give and receive all year long.
Our scripture readings come from Isaiah 60:1-6; Ephesians 3:1-12; and Matthew 2:1-12.
We finish a brief series called “After Thoughts.” The series looks at how we carry Christmas forward as we start a new year. Our next message is “The Epiphany.” Today we reflect on how we can support each other in the new year.
We begin a new series called “New Year, New Outlook.” Our first message is “A Wise Gift” and takes place on Epiphany Sunday. In it, we explore the way that we can impact the lives of others by our actions. A new year calls for reflection on a new outlook.
Our Christmas series is Gifts of Christmas. Each week we look at a different gift we can give and receive. The message for today is “Acknowledgement” and is a look at how acknowledgement is a gift. What power do our words have? How can we lift others up? What is the gift that we can give? Christ is the gift of Christmas that keeps on giving.
Our scripture reading for today comes from Matthew 2:1-12.
“Strange Visit” is our second message in The Story Goes On. On this Epiphany Sunday we take a look at the visit of the Wise Men. Why is this story in Matthew? What do we know about the visitors? What do we not know? What lessons can we learn from them? Christmas may have passed but the story goes on.
Our next message in Christmas Spirit is “Spirit of Praise.” We often focus on the wise men brining gifts, but what happens after? How did that gift of praise impact others? How do we keep a spirit of praise year round? Keep the Spirit of Christmas with you all through the year.
