We finish our series called “Matriarchs of Christ.” Each week we looked at a different woman that is listed in the genealogy of Jesus from Matthew’s Gospel. Our message today is “Mary.” We read today about Mary and her song of joy over serving God. We hear about faith from unexpected places in unexpected ways.

We start our series called “Matriarchs of Christ.” Each week we look at a different woman that is listed in the genealogy of Jesus from Matthew’s Gospel. Our message today is “Tamar.” We reach back today into Genesis for the story of a woman that was wronged and teaches us about rushing to judgement. We hear about faith from unexpected places in unexpected ways.
Our scripture readings come from Genesis 38:11-19, 24-30; Romans 2:1-3; and Matthew 7:1-5.
“Mary” is the last of the 5 Women in Jesus’ Genealogy. What do the words of Mary tell us? About justice? About trust? About faith? What does Mary have in common with the other 4 women mentioned in the opening of Matthew? Join us as we explore their faith journey and ours.
Our scripture reading comes from Luke 1:39-56.
The fourth message in our Women in Jesus’ Genealogy series is focused on “Bathsheba.” We look at Bathsheba being instrumental to place Solomon on the throne as king. So why would she be included in Matthew? What do we learn about her strength? Her perseverance? How does her story relate to the ministry of Christ? Join us as we explore their faith journey and ours.
