This marks my first Sunday at my new appointment to the Neoga Grace, Toledo, and Etna United Methodist Churches. As such, we have a look at “New Beginnings.” Today we discuss how we face change and how God helps us to move forward. Next week we will begin a six week series on Methodist roots.
Our scripture readings come from Isaiah 43:16-21; 2 Corinthians 5:16-21; and Mark 1:14-28.
We begin our Lenten series called “Depths of Love.” In it, we will explore the depths of God’s love in our Lenten journey to the cross. Our first message is called “Has Come Near.” Today we think about why we do what we do in Lent and explore what we can give up and what we can take up.
Our scripture readings come from Genesis 9:8-17; 1 Peter 3:18-22; and Mark 1:9-15.
We begin our after Easter series called “Easter People.” In it, we will be exploring how the resurrection changes us. Our first message is “Eyes Open.” Today we look at our faith journey through the road to Emmaus.
Our scripture readings come from 1 Peter 1:17-23 and Luke 24:13-35.
We continue our Lenten series called “Lenten Journey.” In it, we will be traveling with Christ as part of our Lenten reflection. Our next message is “Going to the Well.” Today we look at Christ meeting a woman at a well and the revelation that is made there.
We continue our Lenten series called “Lenten Journey.” In it, we will be traveling with Christ as part of our Lenten reflection. Our next message is “Meeting by Night.” Today we look at Christ meeting with Nicodemus and explore how we can be blinded by literalism.
We begin our new series called “Lenten Journey.” In it, we will be traveling with Christ as part of our Lenten reflection. Our first message is “To the Wilderness.” Today we look at Christ being tempted in the wilderness and we reflect on the way that we quote the Bible.
