This week we start a new series called “Our Vision” and is based on the new vision statement of the United Methodist Church. We begin iwth “Love Boldly” and we explore the way that we are to love our neighbors as ourselves. That we should emulate the bold love that Christ has as we seek justice and peace in the world. We love boldly, serve joyfully, and lead courageously as we share the Gospel message.
Our scripture readings come from Leviticus 19:11-18; Romans 13:8-14; Matthew 22:34-40.
This series is called “Back to Sunday School.” Each week we will look at another lesson we may not have visited outside of a children’s Sunday school classroom. Our message today is “Miracles of Jesus.” Today we explore the deeper discussions to be had about the different miracles performed by Christ. Let us continue to grow in wisdom and grace as we continue to learn.
Our scripture readings come from John 2:1-11; 4:46-54; 9:1-7; 20:30-31.
We start a new series called “Salvation Revealed.” We will spend the Easter season looking at how we live our lives in Christ. Our message today is “With Love.” Today we reflect on Jesus asking Peter about his love and how we begin everything with love. May we always see salvation revealed in Jesus Christ our Lord.
Our scripture readings come from Acts 9:1-6; Revelation 5:11-14; and John 21:1-19.
We have a two part series called “Duality.” We will look at the duality of Tragedy and Triumph between Palm Sunday and Easter. Our Easter message today is “Triumph.” We reflect on the way that Easter is a symbol of hope and overcoming adversity. When we look between the good and the bad, the celebration and the sorrow, there we will find Christ.
Our scripture readings come from Acts 10:34-43; 1 Corinthians 15:19-26; John 20:1-18.
We continue our series called “Methodist Roots.” Each week we will look at an aspect of United Methodism. Today’s message is “Grace for All.” Today we will explore the way that we understand God’s grace as a free gift that is available for all people.
Our scripture readings come from Psalm 40:4-11; Ephesians 2:1-10; and Mark 10:42-52.
