We continue our Advent and Christmas series called “Come Home for Christmas.” Our next message is “The Fear of Home” and takes place on the Sunday of peace in Advent. In it, we explore our fears about home and how we overcome them. Are you ready to come home for Christmas?
Our scripture readings come from Malachi 3:1-4; Philippians 1:3-11; Luke 3:1-6.
The last entry in the Day by Day series is our Pentecost message. “Peace and Justice” takes a look at what it means to share peace with others. It is also a hard look at the way that we must take action for justice. In troubling times, those who can speak must speak for those who are not heard. If the Holy Spirit is for all, how do we work on ensuring that all people can share in peace? Day by day, we share God’s love and mercy.
Our scripture readings are from Acts 2:1-21 and John 20:19-23.

“Seeking Joy” is the 3rd leg of our Advent Journey. It takes us to prison and to looking ahead. How do we find joy when things are bad? Does joy erase sadness? Do we seek joy alone or together?
We embark on an Advent journey to prepare for the road ahead.
Our scripture readings come from Isaiah 35:1-10 & Matthew 11:2-11.
We begin our Advent Journey with “Chasing Peace” as we explore the idea of peace. Do we overlook peace? Do we get peace when we give it? Can peace appear in the midst of chaos? We embark on an Advent journey to prepare for the road ahead.
Our scripture readings come from Isaiah 2:1-5 and Matthew 24:36-44.
Tonight we have a special Christmas Eve message. “Child of Light” is the final message of Advent Children. How do we keep Christ in Christmas? Love. Merry Christmas to you all!
“Child of Peace” is our last Sunday in Advent Children. As we look to Christmas we ask a difficult question. How does one prepare for peace? What does peace mean to us? How do we share peace? We experience the advent of Christ as a child of God.
Our scripture reading comes from Micah 5:2-5a.
The latest in The Word in Song is the ever popular “Never Gonna Give You Up” inspired by the music of Rick Astley. When troubles hit, who go we turn to? Will God ever walk away from us? How do we combat fear, hate, and lies? Know that God will be there. Find inspiration anywhere and everywhere, and hear the Word in song!
