We finish our Easter series called “Questions from Acts.” Each week our reading from Acts will inspire a new question to answer. Our last question is “What Does This Mean?” To find an answer, we take a look at the early church to understand the Holy Spirit on Pentecost.
Our scripture readings come from Acts 2:1-21; Romans 8:22-27; and John 15:26-27, 16:4b-15.
We start our new series called “The Spirit Moves.” In it, we will be looking at the Holy Spirit . Our first message is “Moved to Call.” Today we look at Pentecost and the way that we are moved to call others by the Spirit.
Our scripture readings come from Acts 2:1-21 and John 20:19-23.
We finish our Easter series called “Acts of Hope.” The series looks at different acts of the apostles and what they can teach us. Our final message is “Act of the Spirit.” We look at how the story of Pentecost is our story today. Our risen Savior inspires hope for all people.
Our Easter series is Faith Resurrected. Each week’s message is based on words from the Gospel reading for that week. The message for today is “He Will Guide You” and is a reflection on what it means to seek the Holy Spirit. ? What does it require of us? What does it mean to open ourselves up to be guided by the Spirit? Our risen Savior guides us in our journey of faith.
The last entry in the Day by Day series is our Pentecost message. “Peace and Justice” takes a look at what it means to share peace with others. It is also a hard look at the way that we must take action for justice. In troubling times, those who can speak must speak for those who are not heard. If the Holy Spirit is for all, how do we work on ensuring that all people can share in peace? Day by day, we share God’s love and mercy.
Pentecost marks the end of our Easter series, Discover Hope. Our final message is “A Greater Understanding” and it contrasts two biblical accounts of speech being changed. How do the Tower of Babel story and the Pentecost narrative work together? Do we build our own towers? Are we being disciples or are we making them? Join us as we rediscover hope this Easter season!
Pentecost draws us to the end of our series, Led by the Spirit. The last message is “Feel the Fire” and explores our relationship with the Holy Spirit . What does it mean to be baptized in the Holy Spirit? Do wet hesitate to act on the Spirit? Live a life led by the Spirit!
