We start our series called “Back to School.” In it, we will be taking a second look at lessons we may not have read since we were kids. Our first message is “Jonah is Angry.” Today we look at the story of Jonah and how Jonah is angry at his own success.
Our scripture readings comes from various sections of Jonah 1-4.
We continue our series called “Relational God.” The series is based on the Transfiguration. Each week will explore another aspect of God with a reading from John. Our next message is “God of Transition.” Today we look at Elijah and transition.
Our scripture readings come from 2 Kings 2:1-14; John 1:6-9, 19-21.
Our series is Jesus Is. Each week we look at a different way that we look at Jesus. The message for today is “Jesus is a Prophet” and is a look at Transfiguration Sunday. What is a prophet? What is the importance of Moses and Elijah? Is Jesus a prophet? What would that mean about Christ? Jesus is many things for all of us.
Our scripture reading for today comes from Mark 9:2-9.
