Our current series explores the “7 Deadly Sins.” This series will explore a differnt one of the infamous sins every week. Our message this week is “Pride” and looks at what it means for our pride to become sinful. How does our arrogance cause us to stumble? We must think about our actions and how we always must turn back to God.
Our scripture readings come from Isaiah 2:9-18; Galatians 6:1-10; and Luke 18:9-14.
We continue our series called “God Can” The series revolves around God’s interactions with people. Our next message is “God Loves.” Today we reflect on God’s love and who it is for, as well as how it shapes our lives.
We continue our series called “Parables of Jesus” and each week delivers a new parable to explore. Our next message looks at the parable of the Prodigal Son. “Wandering Away” looks at how we can find ourselves moving away from God’s love. What is the story God has placed in your heart?
The last message of Those in Need is about “The Abandoned.” All those people that have nobody left to look out for them get special attention from God. How are we called to respond? Do we always help how we should? What examples are we give on how to care? Let us serve God by helping those in need.
As we near the end of the Easter season, we near the end of Discover Hope. Today’s message is “Set Free” and in it looks at the idea of finding freedom. Revelation gives us an example of perfect freedom, while Acts gives us an example of escaping our bonds. But what responsibility comes with freedom? How do we share our freedom? How do we use it? Join us as we rediscover hope this Easter season!
The last part of our Facing Doubts series is “Am I Good Enough?” How do we see ourselves? Do we feel we are good enough? Do we see ourselves how God sees us? Do we see others through human eyes? What happens when we view them through Christ? Let love cast out fear as we face our doubts.
Today’s message is the first in the series 3 Simple Rules, based on the teaching of John Wesley. Our first rule is “Do No Harm.” What does it mean to harm others? Does it happen without us realizing? Why is this the first rule? How can we do a better job of not being a stumbling block to those seeking Christ? Let us do no have, do good, and love God.
So, though the series is over and I took this week off, I had a short after thought on the series. A little bit of the “how” and “why” behind the 7 Deadly Sins series. I hope you enjoy!
Today marks the final of the 7 Deadly Sinsas we end with “Sloth.” Is sloth really just being lazy? Or is there something more to it? What happens when we don’t go out and do what we are supposed to do? And do we get slothful by being too busy? Do our words match our actions? We explore this and more as we explore the 7 deadly sins.
