We continue our series called “Matriarchs of Christ.” Each week we look at a different woman that is listed in the genealogy of Jesus from Matthew’s Gospel. Our message today is “Bathsheba.” We read today about Bathsheba and her strength and courage. We hear about faith from unexpected places in unexpected ways.
Our scripture readings come from 1 Kings 1:11-21, 28-31; Acts 7:44-47; and Matthew 12:38-42.
The fourth message in our Women in Jesus’ Genealogy series is focused on “Bathsheba.” We look at Bathsheba being instrumental to place Solomon on the throne as king. So why would she be included in Matthew? What do we learn about her strength? Her perseverance? How does her story relate to the ministry of Christ? Join us as we explore their faith journey and ours.
