We continue our Lenten series today called “Looking to Lent.” Each message will cover another difficulty that we face in life. Our message today is “Facing Temptation.” We reflect on the example we are given with Christ being tempted in the wilderness. Let us look for hope as we are looking to Lent.

Lenten Journey: To the Wilderness

We begin our new series called “Lenten Journey.” In it, we will be traveling with Christ as part of our Lenten reflection. Our first message is “To the Wilderness.” Today we look at Christ being tempted in the wilderness and we reflect on the way that we quote the Bible.
Our scripture readings come from Matthew 3:13-4:17.
We start our Lenten series called “The Dark Valley.” The series looks at the way we deal with difficult times that test our faith. Our first message is “Demanding Miracles.” In it, we explore what it means to put God to the test. Even in the darkest of times, God is till with us.
Our scripture reading comes from Luke 4:1-13.
Our new series is Ready for Lent and “Ready for Temptation” is our first message. We are given examples of how to face temptation in today’s scripture, but what do they mean? What is one of our greatest temptations? Are we ready to face those things? We get ready for Lent by focusing on Christ.
Our scripture readings come from Genesis 2:15-17; 3:1-7, Romans 5:12-19, and Matthew 4:1-11.
