We begin our new series called “Faith & Wisdom.” In it, we will be reading from Proverbs as we explore the connection between faith & wisdom. Our first message is “Free to Care.” Today we look at how we are called through the freedom we find in Christ to care about others.
Our scripture readings come from Proverbs 3:21-35; Philippians 2:1-11; and Luke 6:27-36.
We begin our new series called “Questions of Faith.” The series is based on questions that have been asked and will include questions submitted to Pastor Cameron. Our first message is “Fear of God.” In it, we explore what it means to fear God. A new year calls for reflection on a new outlook.
Our series is Means of Grace. In it, we will be exploring spiritual practices that help us grow in discipleship. The third of these is “A Mind for Study” and looks at why we study. How should we study? What is the purpose for study? What happens when we regularly study Scripture? Can we make it a regular part of our lives? As we explore how we interact with God, we grow in faith and love.
“Everything is Pointless” is the first message in the three week series Difficult Readings. This series looks at texts that can be hard to read. First up is Ecclesiastes. A repeated idea is that everything is pointless. Is this really true? Is this the main message? What does Ecclesiastes say about human emotion? About our own understanding? Can we really complain this much to God? Let us grow together as we explore these difficult readings!
Our scripture reading comes from Ecclesiastes 2:14-26.
