Happy people don’t take advice from untrustworthy people.
They don’t choose to do things that will lead to sorrow.
They don’t sit around disrespecting others.
They delight in God, trusting that he’ll guide them.
They pray to God and remember his right teachings.
They are strong, like a tree planted in fertile ground,
With leaves that don’t fade and delicious fruit at harvest.
Those happy people do well in life.
The same cannot be said of those trying to wrong others.
They are like dust in the wind.
What they do will not last,
People will not trust what they say.
People will know not to listen to them wherever they are.
The Lord keeps paths open for doing good,
But the ways to do wrong to others will never last.
